Learn To Skate
Welcome to the Planet Ice’s Learn To Skate Program.
This program is available for individuals ages 3 & up. It is a great opportunity for individuals of any age who have an interest in skating. This is a fabulous opportunity to learn a recreational sport, begin a fitness program or the first steps in pursuing a long-term skating career.
Classes: New session starts April 4th on Thursday at 6pm
Bridge Program Starts April 2nd at 6pm - for Basic Skills 8 and up
We are now doing 10 week sessions for $125.
- Thursday Nights 6-7pm for all levels
Students will be placed in groups by age and skill level.
Classes will be taught by a professional and experienced staff member.
If classes are cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, an effort will be made to reschedule the class or a refund will be made.
CLASS FEES
All classes will be $125 for the 10 week session.
Weekly Classes are a full 30 minutes of instruction time per week and include a 30 minute practice session either before or after class depending on when your class is scheduled. Skate rental is included with each weekly class.
- Make sure that skates fit as snug as possible and are laced securely.
- Please be ready on time. Classes must start and end on time.
Bridge Program:
This program is for Levels Basic 8 and up. This class will be an opportunity to learn about what the proper equipment and attire, ice etiquette, how to get good practice habits, about the local figure skating club, goal setting and about what they would be learning in the bridge program. Also when to select a private coach and how to do it, how to practice efficently.
The skater will have a mini private lesson for half an hour and then will have half an hour to practice. There will also be a chance to learn a solo program, about competition, and much more.
The Bridge program is the stepping stone to getting private lessons and taking figure skating to the next level.
The Bridge Program is now on Tuesdays at 6pm. We offer two packages.
- $125 - Cost of the class
- $140 - Class and a punch card with 5 free style sessions on it. That is a $175 dollar value! This also allows the skater extra time to practice during all of our free style times.
